In December 2010, the SMS San Michele degli Scalzi Contemporary Art center will host the new Bienale of Young Artists, devised by the pisan municipality's culture office.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Keith Haring staying in Pisa, and as a part of a series of initiatives to honour the artist and his relationship with the city, the current administration has titled the sixth edition of the Bienale "Tuttotondo: Temporaneità e Permanenza nel Contesto Urbano" (Tuttotondo: Temporariness and Permanence in the urban context).

The initiative, esponentially grown in recent years, has now become a must-attend event for critics and young artist alike from all over middle and northern Italy: for the sake of personal experience, the exhibition doubtlessly offers a great opportunity for both visibility and dialogue with other artists.

Furthermore, the Culture Assessorship has decided to strenghten such attendance boost by granting a participation chance to artists from everywhere - regardless of their provenance - and also by adopting the prestigious and recently restored SMS as the fascinating venue for this sixth Bienale.
