The museum gathers the preparatory drawings, or sinopie, of the fresco paintings located in the Monumental Cemetery. Among the most known there are the Trionfo della morte by Buffalmacco, la Crocifissione by Francesco Traini and some works of art by Benoz

Located in Valgraziosa, just 10 Km far from Pisa, it is almost entirely visitable; where once were hosted the agrucultural activities today there is the Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa.
